Countryside Litigation and Entitlement Kendra (RLEK) is actually a Non Govt Organisation that actually works with areas in the hill state of Uttarakhand. RLEK has evolved following years of have difficulty against atrocities meted on underprivileged and marginalized communities in the region. Genesis of RLEK
RLEK began back in the 1970s, every time a group of young adults started advancement work amongst tribal areas in the area of Jaunsar-Bhawar in Dehradun district. Systemic inequities and injustices deprived these areas of their primary human rights.
